Ruth Rickaway, who has been with Cornerstone Christian since it's inception, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Interdisciplinary Studies with Texas Certification in Early Childhood. Mrs. Rickaway has twenty years of teaching experience. Graduating with a 3.45 GPA, she won the Texas A&M Distinguished Student Award, was a member of the National Honor Society, and Kappa Delta Phi. She was on the Dean’s Honor Roll at Texas Women’s University and was a member of the Spanish Club. She is a current member of the Association for Childhood Education International, and is experienced with computers. She was a team leader while teaching at Texas A&M Pre-School evaluating other teachers and assisting in their training. Her experiences include designing, expanding and updating curriculum, preparing bulletin boards and teaching materials, holding parent conferences and home visits, evaluating academic performance, organizing field trips, generating parent newsletters, and directing class productions. In addition she has operated an In Home Preschool for two to six year olds. The daughter of a well-known preacher, Mrs. Rickaway is a devoted Christian, wife, and mother of two teenagers. She studies her Bible daily and prays often. She delights in working with children in a Christian environment. Her former employers say she is a very strong, yet diplomatic person who has an exceptionally intense desire to be there with her students. She communicates well with students and parents, keeps students focused, and is always very professional. Parents of former students say that she held, and still holds, the highest place in students’ lives. They say they cannot praise her enough. She’s super! |
