Humanities, at Cornerstone Christian, are experienced through the teaching of Art and Music. Art and Music are taught to each student in the afternoons, at least once a week. In addition, students have the oportunity to demonstrate their skills several times per year.

Instrumental music class is available to 4th grade and up. This class provides full band instruction at thye beinning level. Students will learn to play an instrument and participate in band. In order to provide the best possible instruction to each student, instrumentation is currently limited to the following instruments: flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone. The class provides semiprivate and group instruction both during and after school. An additional monthly fee is required. |

Art Classes are taught by Johnece Marchbanks. Mrs. Marchbanks is a member of the school board and also has been teaching Art to school children for many years. The students try their hand at many kinds of artistic endeavors and many different art mediums. They have the opportunity to compete in several local art contest and Cornerstone students have won awards at the George Bush Presidential Library, the Benjamin Knox Gallery, and the P. David Romei Arts center. |

Music is taught by Mrs. Ligon, a professional and experienced music educator, as well as your principal. The music curriculum includes Chorus, listening appreciation, music theory and composition, and marching. The children can demonstrate their music skills at several performances including the Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Program, and Graduation Program. |
