Cornerstone Child Development and Care Programme

"Let the Little Children
Come to Me..." (Mat 19:14)

Here's a word from the Project Director

director muhumuza edmund Serving as the Director Cornerstone Child Development and Care Programme (CCDC) makes me very humbled, and I count myself blessed to be able to serve God with the Children.

Having grown-up independent most of my life, taught me that life can be tough and harsh sometimes, and that the most challenged are the Orphans and Vulnerable Children. The unfortunate circumstances of my youth as I grew up, trained me to be willing to help, lend a hand to someone and be a ray of hope for children who might be less privileged as I was.

My Dad died before I could get to know him. Mum tells me he got to see me just once when I was a few weeks old. My mum raised me up single handedly but even then, I missed most of my time with her because she was never there when I was growing up. She was up and about looking for survival in a different city and so my Grand mum did both the fatherly and motherly roles. Mum paid my fees from secondary to university but I missed the relationship that a mom should have with a Child. I have learnt that to love and care for others, we get watered same time.

Jesus himself took little children in his arms and blessed them. He emphasized several times, that the heart that's child like, is what is needed for one to inherit the Kingdom of God. He rebuked those who were forbidding them from coming to Him, that of such, was the Kingdom of God. So to serve Children is to actually build the Kingdom!
